For me, good lending starts with understanding what you’re trying to achieve, not just what you want to borrow.
I’ve been helping people navigate lending and finance since 2000, and while I’m a mortgage broker, I’ve never really believed that getting a loan should just be about finding a lender and getting an approval.
I help people think beyond the next loan and consider how their lending decisions fit with the bigger picture of what they’re trying to achieve, whether that’s buying a home, investing in property, growing a business, building wealth or creating more flexibility and choice for the future.
Sometimes that means thinking about how a loan should be structured, not just which lender to use. Sometimes it’s considering what today’s decision could mean for the next property, business opportunity or stage of life, and sometimes it’s working alongside an accountant, financial adviser or other professional so that the lending strategy supports the broader plan.
My background before finance was in Special Education, and I think that still influences the way I work. I enjoy making complex things easier to understand, asking the questions that sometimes get overlooked and helping people feel informed and confident about the decisions they’re making.
How I Can Help
I work across a broad range of residential, investment, business and commercial lending, helping people explore their options and structure finance around their individual circumstances and longer-term plans.
Home loans and refinancing: Buying a first home, moving home, refinancing, bridging finance and reviewing existing lending arrangements.
Property investment finance: Purchasing or refinancing investment properties, considering borrowing structures and planning for future property opportunities.
Business and commercial finance: Funding business purchases, expansion, commercial property, development projects and other business opportunities.
Cash flow and equipment finance: Helping business owners explore funding options for working capital, vehicles, machinery and equipment.
Self-employed lending: Exploring lending options for business owners and self-employed borrowers whose circumstances may not fit traditional lending requirements.
SMSF property lending: Exploring finance for property purchases through self-managed super funds, working alongside the client’s accountant and financial adviser.
Personal lending and debt consolidation: Helping people understand their options for personal borrowing and restructuring existing debts.
For me, the most rewarding part of what I do is building relationships, understanding what’s important to the people I work with and collaborating with their accountants, financial planners and other professional advisers to help them make informed lending decisions that support their broader goals, because the right finance isn’t just about getting a loan approved, it’s about making sure the lending makes sense for what they’re trying to build.
