As a business owner, it is very important to understand the importance of sales and the sales steps in order for your business to grow. You need to generate leads, capture leads, nurture leads and then close the deal in order to sustain a customer.
Every industry and every person is different and with this, your messaging will need to vary accordingly.
I find this very true when I conduct my lead generation and sales calls for my clients. My messaging needs to reflect my clients’ service / products, and the one size (message) fits all, does not work with sales calls.
I also experienced that each industry and also the type of calls I make, determines the attempts of contacts I need to make, and if I need to reach out multiple of times, I need to ensure my messaging varies. I also need to vary the days and times I am also trying to connect.
Don’t feel disappointed if you need to nurture your leads, as sometimes these clients become your best customers.
Lastly, never be afraid to review your strategy and edit it accordingly, this will help with your sales technique and your confidence in making sales calls.
