I have 15 years of experience teaching French as a LOTE and English as a second language. I also have 7 years of experience working in the corporate world. Both these experiences combined have given me a unique edge and insight into what it is that challenges women and young people the most.
As a teacher, one has an acute sense of the learning needs of their pupils, allowing the teacher to modify the content and the teaching style. It is this skill that I bring to my coaching style. The skill to connect with people and understand what it is that they are not saying is crucial to be an effective coach.
When I was a teacher to young adults in universities, I was privileged to have a unique insight in to the trials and tribulations that a young person must navigate in the modern world. There are a lot of challenges and this can cause a huge amount of stress. This is when I was inspired to do more.
Working in corporate world was not easy. The constant “guilt” of being away from the family was eating away at the very core of my being. I was unhappy in everything I did, and it started affecting my health and well – being. I saw this not only in myself but in many women around me. The constant juggle of balancing life and work was causing them a lot of stress. While I was in the similar situation, I found myself to be more optimistic than most and helping them overcome their issues.
This is when I decided I needed to do something with the hidden talents that I had ignored for so long and from this need to re-define and ‘re-align’ myself to the real me that ReAline You was born.
